Semaglutide

Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist and works by reducing the appetite and feelings of hunger, slowing the release of food from the stomach and increasing feelings of fullness after eating. Most patients tolerate GLP-1RA's very well. The most common side effects are nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, are usually mild, and occur in the first few weeks of treatment, reducing over time. Semaglutide is a once weekly injection and the cost is $350/month.
